Our History
The Condon Funeral Home is proud to have our family serving yours for five generations.
Located in the Leonardo section of Middletown, our Home is centrally located and easily reached from many of the main highways. Our facility offers not only spacious Chapels but a generously sized parking lot. When you entrust funeral arrangements to us you can be assured that your wishes, and those of your family, will be carried out in a dignified fashion by our professional and compassionate staff.
P.J. Condon
In 1892 Patrick John (PJ) Condon immigrated from Ireland and settled in Harrison, NJ. In 1897 he was graduated from mortuary school in NYC and opened a storefront funeral parlor in Harrison. As his family grew so did the family business and he sent three sons John, Raymond, and Gerard on to become undertakers.
The sons operated the funeral homes in Harrison and Kearny. After His Father's Passing John P. Condon, Sr. moved his funeral home to Atlantic Highlands and operated there until 1988. In 1988 he moved the funeral home to its current location in Leonardo.
John P Condon, Sr. and John P. Condon, Jr. ran the location in Leonardo until 1991 when John Sr. passed away. In 1995 his son John P. Condon, IV, joined John, Jr. in the everyday running of the business.
Today we are proud to say that our family has been serving families for 5 generations and we plan to continue serving families in our area for generations to come.

Our Valued Staff

John has grown up around the funeral business. He was on his way to becoming a teacher when he was inspired by working with his father. John graduated from the Mercer County Community College Mortuary Sience Program in 1994 and in 2007 was made a partner and manager in the business. John specializes in helping families design funerals that are personal and meets all of the families needs.
