Mr James English

August 26, 1944 - March 20, 2021

“With many memories shared, our Jimmy, "the cute one", passed away at his home in Leonardo NJ following a long illness on March 20, 2021. He loved his family, especially having family/friends gatherings at his home, box wine, Pall Malls, candles, playing the lottery, the #7, getting to the beach early to get prime real estate and talking "his" politics. Thru his life he worked and succeeded in different career paths and earned a Masters Degree. Jim followed a new calling, went back to school and became an LPN at age 60. He loved that job. He was a US Army veteran and served time in Vietnam. Jim was the life of the party and nearly unforgettable to anyone who met him. Thru his illness there was no shortage of people who offered any type of help in caring for him. He was a loving and devoted son, brother, brother-in-law, uncle, great uncle, cousin and a good friend to many. Jim is predeceased by his parents John and Marge English. He is survived by his loving siblings Luke English and fiancee Arlene, Thomas English and previously departed wife Cathy, Michael English and wife Ruthie, sisters Margie Dec and husband Ted, Kathy Lanza, sister-in-law Shirley English and many loving nieces, nephews and their families. His late canine Chops was a loyal companion and his devoted Nacho is being cared for by his loving niece Beth. Jim requested just a cremation and a family/friends get together in the future. His presence will be sorely missed.”
