Maurice "Marty" A. King 77, of Atlantic Highlands, died Saturday, November 6th at Riverview Medical Center, Red Bank. Marty was born in Jersey City and resided in Saddle Brook before moving to Atlantic Highlands 43 years ago. He is the son of the late William and Elizabeth (Coleman) King. Marty served in the Army Reserves during the Vietnam Era. He retired from the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey at the World Trade Center, where he served as an auditor for 35 years. Marty was devoted to his family. He loved spending time with them on beach vacations. He enjoyed biking and skiing. He and his wife enjoyed their many trips to Lancaster, Pa. He had a great interest in American History. He is survived by his loving wife of 45 years, Melody, his son Kevin and his wife Brenda, his daughter Elizabeth (Liz) and her husband Taylor Pyrtko, sister Josephine, brothers Patrick and John and his wife Trish. He is also survived by his four grandchildren Kaelin, Victoria, Bradley, and Landon. They were his joys. Marty was predeceased by his brother William and sister Mary. He will be missed. Calling hours will be Friday, November 12 from 3-6 PM followed by a memorial service at John P. Condon Funeral Home 804 St. Hwy. #36, Leonardo, NJ.
